    Choosing courses

What can I review before signing in?

The public catalog and course pages show published titles, descriptions, instructors, prices when available, and a safe lesson outline.

Why can I not find a course?

The public catalog only shows active, published courses. A course may also be temporarily unavailable while the service is restored.

    Account verification and recovery

How do I verify my account?

Use the verification link sent to your email. You can request another link from the verification page if needed.

What if I forgot my password?

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. The recovery flow does not reveal whether an email address belongs to an account.

    Enrollment and payment

How do I continue from a course page?

Choose the course action and sign in. Smith Academy returns you to the protected course page, where the available enrollment steps continue.

What if a price or payment step is unavailable?

Do not assume the course is free. Try again later or email the Smith Academy team with the course title and the step you reached.

    Accessing lessons

Where do I open course lessons?

Sign in and open the course in your learner workspace. Public outlines show lesson titles only, not lesson content or materials.

    Can I download course materials?

Download access depends on the permission set for that course. Open the course after signing in to see the available actions.

    How do certificates work?

Finish every published lesson—and pass the final exam when a course includes one—to receive a Smith Academy certificate automatically. Each issued certificate has a certificate number, QR code, and public verification page.

    Teaching applications

How do I apply to teach?

Choose the instructor role during registration and complete the requested application details.

When can I start creating courses?

Instructor access begins after application review. Approved instructors can create courses and submit them for publication review.

How does the 60% instructor share work?

The share applies only to eligible settled instructor-owned course and program sales after sales tax (when collected) and payment-processing fees. Platform-owned products do not carry an instructor share. Approval, publication, payout setup, the release window, minimum balance, and refund or chargeback reversals apply.

    How do referral codes work?

Smith Academy issues referral codes directly. A new learner can enter an active code while creating a student account; the code links that signup to the referrer for Smith Academy’s review. Referral availability, eligibility, and payment terms are agreed with the team—email team@smithacademy.tech.

    Organizations and partnerships

Can Smith Academy discuss training for my organization?

Yes. Share the skills, audience, team size, and timeline. The Smith Academy team will review the request and discuss available courses or an instructor-led program approach.
